About me

Graduated specialized in econometrics and applied economics, I bring an analytical mind to the conversation. My interests lie in the areas of financial economics, econometrics, energy economics and financial market analysis.

I have been interested in the beauty of math, coding and the human mind leading me to explore the subject of economics. My latest interests include how neural networks can be incorporated into economic theories and used to build better models.

I am a published author with publications in highly ranked journals in renewable energy and a concert violinist. Currently working at Verité Research in Sri Lanka, I have been exposed to web development and econometric modeling along with data analysis.

Developed the Manifesto Comparer for Manthri.lk website for the first time in Sri Lanka bridging the gap between the presidential candidates and the general public.
Developed and maintained the platform to visualize live presidential and general election results in Manthri.lk where the webpage was visited by around 500,000 users in 24 hours. The general election 2024 visualizations are mainly coded in JavaScript using chart.js.
Automated web scraping using python to scrape data from websites and update an excel sheet at a specific time every day.
